Canon Powershot A520 (new user)

Hey everyone. Found this forum when browsing around for more info on my digital camera. I just recently bought my first digital camera (Canon A520). I just wanted to take pics of my car mostly but somehow taking photos of anything and being creative got the best of me. I enjoy going out and snapping pics and being that I live in Alaska I know I can get some good shots, just staying warm is the hard part. Here are a couple of pics I took last week, decided to test out the camera. Still learning to play with the settings a bit. Comments are welcome and pointers especially.

Those are nice shots. Thanks for sharing. I think what they display is that the 520 provides more than adequate shots for the average user. This should be a great place for you to get all of your information! I like the first shot a lot.

Thanks for the reply. I plan on learning as much as I can here. I still have no idea how to take good night shots yet. Once I do learn though, I'll have all kinds of shots. Alaska has great night scenery.
