There have been grain lines on my Canon A85 LCD screen for the past week or so and they're especially evident in the dark areas of pictures, such as shadows or indoor pictures.
I don't understand why.
I got this camera a year ago for Christmas and have never had problems before.
Can it be fixed? Is it my fault? Is my camera now useless?
Could someone help me?

The first picture is a crop from the full res photo.
The second is a capture from a video file (it captures EXACTLY what I see on the LCD)

Your sensor is acting up.
This is called banding.
I believe there is a recall for this.
Call canon up.

Is it my fault? The camera has been dropped a few times, and has a few scratches here and there, but it hasn't been dropped anytime recently. It worked a whole week, but after only sitting a few days, it didn't work.

The recall list I've seen of Canon cameras doesn't have the A85 on it.
