Flash with S2 IS

Is there a way by looking throught the EVF, to tell when the flash is recharged? I'm tired of taking a flash pic, then pressing the shutter for another one only to find the flash isn't ready to go. but if I wait a second or two and *don't* press the shutter, it works smoothly. I'd like some sort of thing to see, otherwise if I press the shutter even a moment before the flash is recharged I have to wait a few more seconds. (sort of like trying to flush a toilet before the bowl is filled. It'll start all over again.:p



I need to find out when I can take another flash shot.

Hi Joe,

After taking a shot with the flash, if you half press the shutter, the flash icon will starting blinking if the flash is recharging. When it stops blinking, you can fully press the shutter to take the picture. What i usually do is to half press the shutter to frame and focus, and usually within 1/2 sec the flash is fully charged again, so press down the shutter and theres your flash picture.

The flash lag is still bothersome, but at least I know when it's over.:-)
