Ok. I'm thinking that it might be possible this year to get digital cameras for my kids who are 5 and 7. I'd like to spend under $200 for each camera. I don't necessarily want to get used cameras, and I want something that will be somewhat durable, but if the camera does not survive, we can always go back to those throw away film cameras. I am open to any suggestions. THX

The nikon coolpix are nice cameras, seem to be built a bit better then Kodak cheap ones.
Either way thats a young age to have cameras, droping them will damage most cameras as will throwing them at your friends.
The coolpix 4600 is a nice camera, small, 4 megapixel, 3X optical with viewfinder, good image quality, can be had online for 150$

If you want them to also have manual controls to play with, the Canon A510 is pretty nice. Most manufacturers don't put PASM on their cheaper models.
