I have just replaced an older Sony digital camera with a Sony DSC-P9. :D

When it was purchased we specifically asked if we could use our 256 Memory Stick Pro. It doesn't work, of course.

Could some kind soul please tell me SPECIFICALLY (numbers and whole name) what I should buy in a 128 Memory Stick. I'd like to get it on Ebay, so I must be very certain I am bidding on the correct one.

If I may ask another question. . . .

How can I set my flash to 'ON' as the default? I am ruining my first picture because I forget I must turn it on. :(

Thanks so much.

Patti

Hi,

According to the Sony website, your camera will work with MSH64, MSH128 and MSH128S2. You can check yourself at the following:

http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/MSCompatibilityView?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001

I had a DSC P8 and I had to turn the power save feature off to ensure the camera flash powered up when I switched the camera on. Perhaps the P9 is the same?

Good luck!

Mark.

Thanks for the information. I have already gone to Ebay and purchased an extra 128 Sony Memory Stick. :D

I appreciate your input on the flash. I will try that soon and let you know if it works.
