While looking at my S2 IS yesterday, I notice a little hole. My question is... does anyone know what it is? I can't find any reference to what it does in the manual (though if you look at the part where the parts are labeled, it is there (semi-obstructed)). It is on the left hand side of the camera (if you hold it like you would to take a picture) and is between the speaker and the camera-strap tie point, right next to the cover for the A/V out.

If you look at the review (http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_s2-review/) here on DCRP, it is easily visible in the first shot after the IS pictures of a video camera.

Anyone know what that hole is? It must serve some purpose.

I don't know if that will present a problem or not...mine has its screw firmly in place....

Well what do you know, you're right.

That can't be too good. Crud. Now I'll have to find out what kind of screw goes there and put one in.

And I was hoping it was a secret flash sync or shutter release cable plug spot or something.
