Hi,

I've just had my W1 battery compartment replaced under warranty. I noticed that one of the (very weak in my opinion) clips which keep the door closed had broken. I haven't a clue how it happened, but I have to admit this is a weak spot in an otherwise well constructed camera.

The repair quoted by Sony was £50 for parts, which I think is horrendous. Not sure what country you are in, but the following websites deliver to the USA.

I have the same problem and cant find a new Battery Door anywhere. I went to the partstore.com and found they had some Battery Trays and things like that when I looked up the camera but they had a few with different part numbers and some had different prices within a few dollars though.

Can anyone tell me which part number is the right one?

Help! I dropped my camera ARGGGGHHH and now the clips that are on the camera broke and the battery compartment will not stay shut. I have tried to find a new compartment, as it looks as if it is one piece. Any one out there happen to have one or know of how I can obtain one? Any help is greatly appreciated! I love this camera and really don't want to replace it.
