I really must give each and every one of you a HUGE thank you.

I live in South Florida, and we were pretty well wiped out by Hurricane Wilma. The panorama shot I posted, and some others are now past history, because it's all gone for now. I myself had to leave my home for awhile, because we lost the roof, have no power, and it was awful. Thankfully, I have wonderful friends who drove 5 1/2 hours each way to come and get me and take me to their place. I'll leave for California next week and spend time with other friends and relatives until it's safe to go home again. And yes, that will happen!!

I did protect my new A-200 (although I forgot to bring the manual with me), and as soon as I get myself settled, I'll be out shooting again. Right now my card is pretty well filled with photos of the devastation, so if I can get them uploaded to someone's computer, I'll try to share with you.

What I really came to say though is that looking at all your beautiful photos has brought me calm and peace in a very troublesome time, and you all need to know that you have helped in a way you probably haven't even considered.

May you all be as blessed as I have been!!

probably never will, but I've seen your pictures.

Good Luck rebuilding your home and I hope normality soon returns to you and yours. At they end of the day, they're only things and are weasy to replace (if expensive). People aren't replaceable.

Glenn, I couldn't agree more. I and my neighbors all talked about how lucky we were, because nobody was hurt or worse.

I called home today and was told that the power is back on, and I'm really glad for them. That means lights and refrigeration (if there's any food available), and some semblance of normalcy. Most of the people in my building are senior citizens, and it's really hardest on them.

As for me, I'm still going to go to California and just relax and have a much needed vacation among loved ones.

BTW, I was able to post some photos today. They're on a thread called "Wilma."
