Really pleased with my Ixus 40. However, I'm trying to download images, taken with the camera, from my PC (Win XP) back to the camera SD card. The aim was to use the camera with TV connection as a neat portable way to showing selected images to family.
The images were copied using File Explorer to the SD card ( Bytestor 1Gb and also Sandisk Utra 11 1Gb) using a Belkin card reader. Both cards were formatted in the camera and have never given any problem.
I copied about 200 images and most were OK. However about 20 images will not display on the camera showing a question mark and the message "Incompatible JPEG format". I tried re-copying the faulty images and also tried both cards - same results with the same images.
When the SD card is used to display images on both my PC and my PDA, they are fine. There is no apparent difference between these "incompatible" images and the others. They have not been edited.
Any thoughts / solutions? Many thanks, BillyJ
