What are the high speed (X40?) memory cards for? What speed is this one?

I am thinking about getting a CANON A95, and would like add one of these memory cards to my purchase. If it is a good deal/product please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

That one only writes at 10x. (Kingston.com and on back of box)

thats a pretty decent price

in my opinion i would pay 10 more $ and get http://www.adorama.com/ILXCF40H1G.html
it's 4x faster at 40x and it's the same amout of memory at 1gb
thats if u only need the speed, which in ur case u prolly don't w/ a a95

hope this helps

Thanks! So in this case, it is the speed of DATA transfer (images or movies) on the CompactFlash card, right? Also, why I don't need it for A95? Does it accept the Ultra II series?

o yes it accepts ultra II cards, and like a card i showed u earlyer...but the A95 as in a consumer brand range from canon, im guessing the max write speed is around 1-1.5 (1.5 really maybe, MAYBE :p )~mb/sec, thats around a 10-12x card.
and a faster cards will not speed up writing

don't count on that comment, b/c i havn't got to handle a A series before
but since its a powershot from canon i think i should be write

hope this helps again
