It seems odd that Sony chose not to use the hybrid version of the 2.5" LCD as used in the less advanced DSC-T1. The hybrid has nearly double the pixel count (211k vs 123k) than that of the non-hybrid version and is also more viewable in bright daylight.

Any thoughts on the reasoning for this?
