View Full Version : How can I sinchronize external flash with my Sony DSC-F828?

I have had some external high output flashes that I would like to use with my new Sony Cybershot DSC-F828, but I can not sinchonize the camera shutter with the flashes output. I don not have any expertice in using digital cameras

Any suggestion?

:) Hello Rafael,

How are you firing your flashes that won't sync with your F-828?

You may be using common slave units, fired by your camera's flash.

It sounds like your F-828's Automatic Pre-flash is firing your external flashes before the actual exposure flash fires.

Set your flash to manual and take a picture pointing your camera to a mirror, in which you can also see your camera AND your external flash. Keep the aperture at f8, to keep things dark. Set your camera on auto-review.

Take a shot. if you see 2 lights in the LCD image, you are have a good flash sync.
