I just bought a refurbished Nikon Coolpix 8700. I want to add a polarizer filter, but what is the size I need to buy? I'm really feeling not too bright about this lens situation; it seems difficult to figure out the size to buy and how it attaches. Do you attach the polarizer directly to the zoom lens? Why are some kits sold with an adapter and others without? It would seem you either need an adapter or not. Which is it? Help. Please. Thanks.
