A camera comes with an 8MB memory card. The specs says that it can hold 360 images.

What size images would they be? and what would the quality be like?

Example, would they be 640x480 or so on.

How do I figure out what size they would be?

An [b]8MB[/card] and 360 images? Heck, they'd be 320x240 ;)

Can you specify what camera this is you're speaking of?

Here's how you figure it:
320 x 240 = 76,800 - Number of pixels
76,800 x 3 = 230,400 - (3 colors) This is the size of the largest uncompessed image
230,400 x 1/10 = 23,040 jpeg file size assuming 10 to 1 compression
8,000,000/23,040 = 347 images (pretty close to that quoted 360!)
Although a megabyte is really more that 1,000,000 bytes card manafacturers use this because it makes the memory card appear larger.

Of course you could work this backwards to give the 320 x 240 size

VERY LOW RESOLUTION PICTURES! Perhaps good for posting on the web or e-mailing to a friend but not much else.
