I was shooting with a Canon SD500 and a tripod.

Wow! You took those with the SD500? Those are definitly cool. Nice technique! I have not attempted a lot of night shots with my SD500...but now you've got me wanting to go out shooting more! :D

Nice hand held shots JTL. I don't think I could take a decent hand held night shot... I definitely have to use a tripod. I am really impressed with my SD500 and can't wait to get out and take some more night shots, I love experimenting with my camera.
