Memory problem

I purchased a Pentax 750Z two weeks ago. I LOVE IT! But the first time I was able to take about 100 pictures on my 512MB memory card. After downloading, I deleted everything, but was only able to take about 30 pictures before the memory card was full. That just happened again? Am I not getting a fresh start on my memory card? I have taken every picture at a quality level of three stars, even the first time when I had so many pictures. Am I doing something wrong?

There is nothing wrong with your digital camera. You just have to fomat your memory card to get rid of the data debris that has been living on that chip for a long time now.
