and can't find any reviews or even listed on Sigma's website.

Does anyone have any experience or can confirm that it will fit on a D50?

If it works on the D70 it will work on the D50.
It may be a non US market lens. There is another site for Sigma products based in Asia that I have seen but I can't find it again at the moment.
I suggest that you e-mail Sigma to confirm the situation particularly warranty in the USA.
