I'm now shooting Raw images via the excellent new Photoshop Elements 4. I've got all the control I need through the Adobe Raw Plug-in, so the in-camera settings should matter less.
When I import a Raw file into Photoshop Elements 4, the default "auto" settings for Exposure, Brightness, Shadow and Contrast are ticked "On". I usually turn these off to get the best result, with a little extra white balance tweaking. Are these “auto” settings PSE4’s interpretation of the D50s internal settings? If so, what are the most neutral camera settings for the D50? Normal? Auto?
