20D upgrade/replacement coming soon??

I'm very close to purchasing the 20D. Does anyone know if there is a replacement or upgrade coming anytime soon? The 5D is out, so I'm not sure if Canon is on a 12 month cycle to upgrade the 20D, or is it a 18+ month cycle which would have something coming out next spring. I'd appreciate any insight. Anxious to get going since my kids are in fall sports, but want to be smart about the investment. Thanks.

I hope so, I am desperately waiting to see what updates will be made?
Canon will probably announce the updated camera at photokina this year.

if canon was going to introduce a 20d replacement, i think they would have done so along with the 5d. looking at the paterns so far, they are on an 18 month cycle. i don't think you should miss a moment of your kids fall sports waiting for a camera upgrade. you could always sell your camera when the 20d replacement comes out, or get an XT and then sell that.

obi, i know how you feel. i've been living with the darn 300d this whole time waiting for the 30d or whatever it'll be called

I think this is excellent advice, capturing your childs fall sports is priceless. Its more important than waiting for an upgrade.
