I recently purchased Sony H1 camera. Every time I click a picture, I get "Vibration warning". Even though the image stablizer is on, I get blurry images. Pictures are out of focus and blurry. I even tried using a tripod and self timer with it, to eliminate the hand shaking effect completely. Still the "vibration warning" keeps appearing. I have scanned the manual completely but could not find a solution. If some one can tell me the problem or point me in the right direction, I can make a decision whether to keep it or return it soon. Thanks in advance.

Want to add one more thing. Pictures are blurred only when taken for people images. Was reading at one more place and found that this ghostly effect of people picture is a defective camera. Please advice.

The vibration warning appears when your shutter speed is low enough that handholding would cause blur. You're probably taking pictures in low light - try increasing the ISO to boost your shutter speed.
Also - if you mount the camera on a tripod, the warning will still appear - the *camera* has no way of knowing it's on a tripod. However, as long as the tripod is of decent quality there should be absolutely no camera vibration causing blur problems - if your pictures with tripod are still blurry it's either due to misfocus or subject movement.

I am trying to click indoor pictures. I understand slow shutter speed might be causing the issue, but the question is I did not have this problem with my other digital camera like canon A80/canon S50 etc.. They should also be using slow shutter speed in indoor situation in auto mode. Then why Sony is creating this issue. Is it because of the size of the camera. Also the vibration shake warning poping at the center of the screen in every picture click is so frustating.

Have you turned on Auto ISO ? the canons might automatically be boosting the ISO to compensate for low shutter speeds ..
Of course, canon's shake warning is a discreet symbol on the side of the screen, so that might be the difference too :)
