That's the result of a very nice lens and a hot japanese girl more than anything. ;)

But I see that the DL has better sharpening than DS and it seems that the color rendition is very very nice, also the exposure looks very nice too :)

And I agree that japanese girl is a "marriage solvent" lol :D

Ya I know. I purposely posted the DS, since you said the DL has better sharpening than the DS. So I'm just showing you that the DS is just as sharp as the DL if they used the same high quality limited lenses. ;)

Oh my mistake sorry :P!! so 18-55 is the fault :/ !!! it is a shame since it is the kit lens :o!! I was reading in some forum (perhaps dpreview? cant remember now) that pentax is delivering IST DL for reviews but with the Pentax-DA 16 - 45 mm... !!

Pentax are known for their high quality prime lenses that are second to none
Screw the zooms, and go prime. ;)
The old M42 pentax lenses are some of the most solid lenses ever built, and they sell for next to nothing on ebay. The sharpness is absolutely amazing, and the build quality destroys anything that's sold out there today. Manufacturers just have no incentive to build them that high quality nowadays.

Here's a great article about pentax's old primes :)

I will read the article :) thanks a lot :D, here pentax in the past was very prestigious but the company that has the distribution ( a photographic store) has changed administration and they dont even know about the IST D or DS lol.... what a shame, my uncle told me how he stared at the Pentax miranda when he was young eventually he bought it and buy pentax glass he has admired pentax since then
