Can I transfer photos from computer back to memory stick?

I have a Sony dsc-p72, and want to know if after I transfer the photos to my computer (windows xp) and format them off my memory stick. If there is a way to take them from my computer and put them back onto the memory stick? My reasons for wanting this is I want to take the pics in vga so I have lots of room on the stick, but yet I want to be able to get them in 3.0 for when I want to print them. Any suggestions??

Okay I did find I can just copy the pics from my hard drive and put them back onto the disc. But then I put the memory stick back into my camera and it shows there are other pics on there, but I cannot find them! Where have them gone to??
