I am looking for a cam for my in-laws and I hope someone can help. Most likely they will just be taking pics of grandkids/family. I don't know their budget but imagine the cheaper the better. I am pretty sure they will never use any manual settings and just want to point and click. They will use flash indoors and of course want great prints but won't print more than 5x7 and MAYBE an occasional 8x10. They thought they would need 6 or 7 mpxls but I told them that really, 3 or 4 would be plenty. I guess what I hope to find is a fast auto-focus, shutter lag and shot-to shot cam (good continuous shooting might be nice) with great quality pics. I looked at what is new now and the Sony S90 looks like it might be good. But I know MS is really expensive. I also looked at the Canon SD 400 and 500 although they are high in mpxls. But they seemed to have fast performance and good quality, which is the main thing. SD500 seemed a bit pricey but Jeff said the photo quality was better. Does anyone have any input about these cams or maybe another that I am overlooking.
Most important--Fast performance (and accurate for the AF), ease of use, and high quality pics.
