Im hoping new members like me will post there questions comparing two cameras here, that way, there will not be so many new threads being made, that compare two cameras (and hopefully have it stickyed).
Here are my two:
Kodak Easyshare Z7590 (DX7590)
Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z6
These are the two, but to help show you what I am looking for, I will fill out the form.
Budget
Between $350.00 and $420.00 United States Dollars (not including memory cards, and accessories)
Size
An SLR type (I would like an SLR, but that wont be happening). I do not like compact cameras (I do realize the two I have are some what compact)
Features
5 or more is fine.
What optical zoom will you need?
Ultra Zoom, 10x-12x Optical Zoom. Digital does not matter, it is useless.
How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)
Important. 9-10. I do want good quality when fully zoomed also.
Do you care for manual controls?
YES I want to be able to at least adjust the shutter speed.
What will you generally use the camera for?
I will use the camera for taking photos of:
Architecture
Cities
Individual Buildings
Nature (as in, rivers, waterfalls, etc.)
Landscapes
Overview shots
Action Shots (for example, a moving taxi cab, not sports shots)
I will not be using the camera for:
Vacation Photos
Sporting Events
People
Indoors (with the exception of a few cases. say the lobbies of buildings)
Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?
Not likely.
Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?
Not likely.
Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?
Not often. Not of people at least.
Are there particular brands you like or hate?
No preference.
Are there particular models you already have in mind?
The Kodak Easyshare Z7590 (similar to the DX7590)
The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z6
(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD)
I need a camera that I can change the zoom lenses if needed, adjust the shutter speed, can be mounted on a tripod, I would prefer a normal viewfinder as opposed to electronic, but that does not matter much. I would prefer a black camera, I dislike silver cameras.
Anything Else?
I will be taking many photos in cities ( of cites, not people ), below is a link to some photos that were taken with a Konica Minolta Dimage Z10 (3 mp), they were taken by someone that I dont know, so I also dont know what the settings were. I would like to know if the pictures from the Z6, would be similar, or better to those of the Z10 ( older model ).

Edit:
Also, how are the night shots on those cameras? Usually I would do the research myself, but because these cameras are new, there are not yet reviews.
Thank You.
