Hi all! I recently got my first camera, a Sony H1. I've noticed some odd things in some images and was wondering if these are normal or indicative of a defect. When shooting close images at the widest/smallest zoom setting, I notice that straight lines bow. I also get some vignetting (at least on sky shots) at high zoom levels. Please see attached images. Thanks for any help!

(Wall shot: F2.8, 1/40 second, 6mm focal length. Moon: F4, 1/400 second, 72mm focal length. No filters or attachment lenses used, just the adapter and hood.)

well I'm not an expert on that, but, as far as I can tell, that's something you can expect from almost any zoom lens, specially in a p&s. the reviews here in dcresource.com always show on the bottom how much of distortion and vignetting you'll get from each camera.
