How do I use the Timer.

I inherited my digital camera from my late husband. It's an old one, so I have no instruction. I'm just trying to figure out how to use the timer. Does anyone know? I've gone through all the menus and can find nothing.

Also want to know if and how you can turn the flash off. Oh yeah, might help if I tell you what I have. It's a Samsung Digimax 130, 1.3 Mega Pixels.
