I'm planning on picking one up this weekend.

I'm really curious to know if the P850 supports 2GB SD cards though?

Just got back from Best Buy with the P850. Got the battery charging now. Will post more once I've had a chance to go through the features and settings.

Shnabbles-

As far as I know the P-880 has not made in to market yet.

Oops, sorry - my old eyes thought this was a P850 thread. ;)

When I went to Best Buy and got the P850, the P880 was not available yet. It's my understanding that Kodak is still working on fine-tuning the P880's firmware.

I did get an email back from Kodak though, indicating that the new P series Kodaks will work with 2GB SD cards just fine. :)

I also went to Best Buy just to hold the P850 and liked it...but I'm waiting for the P880!

...and waiting...

...and waiting...

...and waiting...

Hi Pixelpictures,
You are not alone, there are lot of people waiting for it. But I think the potentials of P-series cams are worth to wait a little longer. Kodak would not launch the product till they will get firmware finalised and we came to know that they are putting bulb mode too.

Thanks, Atindra-

I'm just hoping I'll have it in time for "Biketoberfest" here in Daytona Beach!

I'd like to get out and get some good shots with it!

Of course...if I miss the event...Daytona has a lot of other nice locations to shoot pics!

I was just really hoping it would be out earlier as I'm still using my Kodak 2.2mp DX3500 right now and it's time for me to upgrade...when I saw this one announced it was in mid August [?] so I anxious to BUY!!! :D

I see that the Kodak P880 is now being sold by Dell for $531 with some special $60 coupon. I wnat a wide angle quality camera for taking interior shots of homes. Has anyone gotten this camera unit? Have you found a better price or expect it to drop in a few dyas or weeks?

I could only find it on Dell's site for $591+ and shipping in one to two weeks...no reviews yet...

I've been looking forward to making this purchase since the camera was announced and have help off purchasing anything else until I see it or read the reviews...

Hopefully the reviews will be seen soon?

If the camera lives up to the specs and features, it should be a *very* good camera and a *great* buy!

I'm anxious to get something over my Kodak DX3500 2.2mp and this wait is killing me!
