I am interested in reviving this retired classic.

Anyone know where I can get smartmedia card over 2mb for it? The camera originally came with a 2MB Fuji card which has the corner 'bitten off' at the opposite side, so standard smartmedia doesn't fit.

Wow! That is indeed a classic!

I would think you can find something on ebay: lookie (http://search.ebay.com/smartmedia-4mb_W0QQsofocusZbsQQsbrftogZ1QQfromZR10QQcoactionZ compareQQcopagenumZ1QQcoentrypageZsearch)

This camera takes 5v SmartMedia, which came as big as 4MB. There are several on eBay now for $33, below what they usually go for. One's here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3734529989&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT).

Thanks guys. This camera was great fun when I first got it and I enjoyed being the 'first kid on the block' with a digital camera.

Even at $33, a 4meg smartmedia card doesn't seem to be worth the dough especially because the QuickTake 200 eats through 4 AA's in about the time it takes to fill the 2 meg card. I didn't know that there was some electronic music gear that also used these hard-to-find cards (and I probably should have known having a master's in digital audio).

I also found an e-bay listing for the whole camera with a 4meg card for $22.50!!

As my QT200 is a little buggy sometimes, maybe I'll go for that. Then I can sell myy 2 meg card to a musician for $20!
