Can anyone recommend a good website to host their photos for people to view?
I am a member of photobucket.com and picturetrail.com already. I just want to put some photos up on a website hopefully with a guest password scheme.
Needs to be really user friendly

Thanks

Not trying to pick a mac vs. pc fight here (so back off-haha). But I use Apple's service and am very pleased with it. I actually think that there it is pc-compatible if you are a pc user and interested in at least checking it out. It's $99/year for 250mb disk space to use as you'd like. The cool thing is that it is connected with their photo management application. So I just click on the photos I want displayed on a given page, it asks what kind of template I'd like to use, and then uploads them.

Here's an example:

Here's the info on the service:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com">flickr</a> gets my vote. Really simple to use, you can easily choose which of your photos are public or only available to you/friends/family.

The free account lets you store unlimited amounts of pictures, although you are limited to 20mb bandwith a month.

If you opt for the pro account ($24.95 a year) you get unlimited storage and can upload 2gb per month.

Here's my flickr page if you fancy a look - http://www.flickr.com/photos/itspaulkelly/

Hope that helps

Hello. I am new here, but have used Smugmug.com for a couple of years. I really love it. You can also link to it as well as use it for auction pictures, etc. You can even store your original high resolution pictures.
The cost is really reasonable and if you use this referral code, you get $5 off: fxxmmMs8zWrCg Or if you know anyone else using it, they will have a referral code to save you money.

There are no adds, no popups nothing! It has several levels of buying use, but I use the standard one. It even lets you order prints if you would like, or people on your approved list buy prints.
Here is basic information, check it out.

The easy way to make your photos look fabulous.

I dont see any reason to pay a website just to host your photos when there are websites that host your websites free . Here are two of those websites :

http://www.imagestation.com they give you unlimited storage free of cost and you can share pictures/albums with whoever you want.

http://www.snapfish.com/ also give you unlimited storage for free.

I gotta second flickr (http://www.flickr.com)

Very user friendly, you have to option to limit photos or make them public, you can identify by groups or tags, etc.

I find the free service more than enough hosting, although as mentioned you can pay for a pro account, too.

Smugmug is a good choice. You can also check out this article (http://www.basic-digital-photography.com/sharing-photos.html) for more information. :)

IS another free one www.photobox.com (http://www.photobox.com) Free of charge and you get to choose whether to have a public gallery or not. They do have limited storage though.
