Hi all,
I'm probably going to order the Panasonic FZ5 off Amazon.co.uk after some sleep, are there any SD cards that you can recommend?
I was originally going to buy a 512mb SD card only to realise that they come in a variety of speeds and some seem rather less reliable/compatible than others.
Any recommendations? I'm thinking of ordering a corsair SD card for the lifetime warranty and 40x write speed.

I have and use all of these with no problems at all.
Panasonic up to 133X
Simpletech pro 60X
Lexar 32X
PQI 66X
Kinsmax 60X
Transcend 40X
Ridata 66X
And Corsair 60X
And Sandisk Ultra,
32X is as fast as you need but faster does not hurt, and is better in a card reader which is something you should get. They can be purchased for about 10 bucks.

Not positive who makes the card for them, but the Fotosource 512 MB card is a 45 X card.
Pretty decent...I have 2 of them.

I found this to my cost. The FZ5 won't work with Corsair cards that work perfectly in an FZ20. I've had to buy a Kingston card to use the camera.

The 512MB kingmax 66x only costed me $35 when I bought it about half a year ago.
Surprisingly it writes at 74x and reads at 121x from my own tests!

I have the Kingmax 1GB and the SanDisk Ultra 1GB that work perfectly. From Panasonic the FZ20 writes at 9mbps. FZ5? Card readers read faster than that. If you upgrade in the future and want to keep the card get even faster ones.
