A veteran of multiple drops onto hard pavement/cement I finally dished out some abuse my Canon S50 could not take.... I dropped it with the lens open.
Ouch.
Something is now very wrong with the lens; I can't close the cover, nore can I use telephoto. Plus I need to turn it on/off four or ten times to get the lens to extend. When fully extended the lens looks crooked.
I had planned on upgrading next month, possibly to the S80, or A620 or one of the new Panasonics or Fujis.
Unfortunately I need a camera within the next few days. Any tips on how to straighten out my crooked lens to give me a couple more weeks with the S50?
Thanks!
