Posting Images

I saw somewhere how to post images but can't find it. What is the thread for "How to post Images"

I don't want to post a bunch of test pictures that don't work.

You can post your images here at http://www.imageshack.us/ for free if you don't have a web host.

Simply choose this icon http://www.dcresource.com/forums/images/editor/insertimage.gif
then paste the link to your image.

or if you were to do it maually just type,

[img]place your link of your image here[/url]

If you don't use a host service then under Additional Options click on the Manage Attachments. Click Browse and then find the file you want and click open. Click upload and once it is uploaded you can close that window and Submit Reply.

There is a 118k limit on files here. Generally, the shot should be resized where the longest side is 800 pixels. I resize the image in PS and then use Save for Web where I can optimize to file size.

Ok this is cool. I was thinking that the images were embedded in the thread but they are just a link. I own a hosting company so I will just use one of my sites. Thanks for the tip on sizing as well... I did not want to experiment using the site and everyones time going to threads that did not work.
