Hello,
I am in the market for a compact point & shoot digital camera. I only use automatic mode and will take indoor and outdoor pictures of family gatherings and vacations. I have narrowed my choices to either the Canon S500 $302.00 with 2 batteries and a 2 year warranty or the SD400 $300.00. Image quality is the most important thing to me. Next would be speed.
What are the differences between the two other than the SD400 is newer, slightly smaller and has a bigger LCD?
I have read that the SD400 has had some issues with cracked LCDs and E18 errors.
I really like the feel of the S500 and have read that it's image quality might be superior to the SD400 as it has a larger lense and CCD. I am not sure about this but this is what one review said.
Which should I buy and why?
Thanks...
Neil
