OK Here is the set up so far. In two weeks I start my professional career as a Wedding Photographer. I know that dosen't sound dramatic to you but this time I will have the equiptment and I am really excited. I have been working with whatever I had shotting for free for friends and family and now I am really excited about having the right stuff for the Job.

Well what do you think? Do you think I am ready? I am so excited. I am not getting paid for this one on the 17th since it is my Father-In-Law's wedding but there are portfolio images.

Plan your shots. Agree with bride and groom what photos they want. Don't bother much with the non-formals. At my wedding the guests took better pictures at both the formals and the reception than our "professional". Hence, we ordered all out photos from our guests. The "professional" turned up with a few but got the colour balance so horribly wrong that we sent them back and won't be recommending her.

Sounds good and good luck. Nice list of equipment, only slightly better than my p/s :). I'd add a SB600 so you have a wireless slave flash, then you're set.

People with cameras at weddings have gotten to the point beyond ridculous. I went to one last year that was not a party but a succession of photos. That said the vast majority do not work out. Simple adjustments like white balance and spot metering make all the difference (and I obviously am not one to provide tips).
