Should be very interesting to see technologies like this make their way onto the market in the near future. Especially if they actually are as feasible as that article describes them to be.

Now, I doubt that the difference something like this would make would be as significant as the image they illustrate, but for people who will pay 1000s of dollars more for a lens collection of higher-quality glass in efforts to get the absolutely best picture possible, I'm sure this would be a welcome introduction.

What are your thoughts about matter such as this?

a few of us here have already paid a few thousand more than others to get better quality glass, maybe before realizing how much they've spent ;) this certainly will be a welcome feature. even if it starts off only on the really expensive and exclusive glass, it'll eventually trickle down to the more affordable stuff, much like now stabilization is even offered on non tele-zoom consumer cams nowadays.
