Ok, I love my pixma but here's the question. When I first got the printer and installed it print jobs would be spooled as one big job, i.e. 32 prints got spooled as one job with 32 pages. At some point in the past while playing with settings I obviously don't completely understand (or maybe it was a new driver) this has changed so that now when I send 32 prints to the printer I get 32 single page jobs in the print que. This is only annoying if you wish to use the function in the driver to stop paper abrasion, if this setting is turned on and you have 32 single page jobs it stops and warns you every print about having that box checked.

This is annoying, any way to stop it? I.e. anyone know what I did to change it from the way it was before to this mess? If it was the old way it should only give me the warning about the paper abrasion box once.

I'm also pretty annoyed that they removed the auto on/off from the driver that the i850 used to have--that just plain sucks having to remember to turn on the printer every time when the i850 automatically turned itself on when I sent a job (the printer is up on a shelf over the computer). Is it really not there anymore or am I just missing something.

You may want to try the following procedure to help with the auto on/off:
This is for the Windows OS...
Click on START.... Click on RUN... type in services.msc
On the Menu, scroll down to Print Spooler and double-click it.
Look at Startup Type: The choices are Automatic, Manual and Disabled

As for the original problem, I can only suggest removing the program from the Control Panel, and re-installing. Good Luck :)
