DX6490 exposure times.

Hi Guys,
I've had my DX6490 for a while now, and I'm liking it. It's my first digital camera, and it's pretty good.

I like taking night time shots with long exposures, but the 6490 only has a 16 second exposure limit. Is there any way to change this to a longer time? Either through a firmware update or something similar?
