I have a chance to get this for real cheap, I also just bought the 60mm nikon macro for $400.

I scored 105micro 1:4 from 1977 in perfect condition for $140. this thing smokes the 60 in a big way. Much more detail.

Yes. Sort of.

It will mount, and when you spin the dial to M, you will be able to take a picture. You wont be able to meter, however. So you have three choices:

1) Get a light meter.
2) Get the lens chipped
3) Learn to take a shot and guestimate, using the histogram and highlight feature

3 is the only "free" option.

What's all this about chipping lenses? I have a ton of Nikon MF lenses.

Thanks for the link. When you say chipped you mean my camera body will read this and work like a newer lense.

Except for AF... yes.

Post some shots of the 105, as I have been seriously considering this lens as well. ;)

I have been using this lense since I bought it a few days ago. i have shot everything you can think of. Because of full manual i have learned many different combos of aperture and shutter speed.
