Sony DSC-V1 Lenses Changing Question

I have a Sony DSC-V1 and I have bought some new lense filters. I have run into a slight problem though. I cannot get the original ring off the camera to put the new lenses or the lense adapter onto the camera. Is there a trick to doing this?

i believe u have to get an adapter. check ebay. i'm looking to buy a wide lens for my w1.

I have the adapter for the new lenses.

I just cannot get the original ring off of the camera to use my new filters.

Any sugestions or is there a trick to taking it off.

I'm not sure, but I don't think you have to remove the ring, or if it even supposed to come off. I have just purchased the V1, but don't have it in hand as yet. I do know that the inside of the ring is threaded, so perhaps you are to simply "screw" the adapter into the ring and then you can attach your lens and filters. Not sure if this helps or not, but hope it does. Considering that this thread is a few days old, you may have figured it out already.
