hello everybody

1. How many pictures can i take with a card 32 mb (provided with the camera) and with a 128? if possible, for the 3 best resolutions.

2.Can I use the resolution of 3.1 or 2.1 for the pictures (printed) 10x15 cm?

3. If i buy a second battery 1700 (KLIC 5001) may i use the charger (included into the box) which is provided with the 1050 ?

thank you for your help.
P.S. I've finally decided to buy this camera, thanks to for your formers helps, specially Yonco and Fred.

I have not played with other resolutions but in 4MP mode, my photos are running between 700KB and 2MB, with the average around 1.5MB per 4MP photo. I would expect 2MP to be half that.

Yes the charger works on both batteries. The 5001 actuallly takes less time to charge than the 5000 and it lasts much longer with each charge.

The answer is - yes.
You can print pictures at a resolution of 2.1 MP or 3.1 MP (even the lowest - 1.1 MP) in a size of 10x15 centimeters.
According to the Ofoto (http://www.ofoto.com) website, a 640x480 pixels resolution is sufficient for a 10x15 cm print (quote: "For a 4 x 6" print, the image resolution should be 640 x 480 pixels minimum").
And you're welcome... I'm glad I could help.

Just as another data point, I have been using a 1.3MP Olympus camera for years. It makes decent 8"X10" prints if you do not crop at all. They are not quite as sharp as they would be from 35mm film, but not by much.

For 4MP resolution not many at all!

Buy a bigger SD Card, I bought 512MB (www.expansys.com / www.expansys.us) and get around 240 pictures at 4MP on it.

Hello from Florida - I have my 7440 set at 3.5 which gives me the correct cropping for 4x6 prints. With a 256 card I get 215 pictures. Works for me. Taking a river cruise next summer from Holland to Hungary and plan to take two 256 cards and also an extra battery. Hope this helps you. Willard

Thats pretty less???? on my 256 MB card I had 317 photos at 4 MP resolution and 80% were in bright day light(which are larger due to more details). I would advise to go for two 256 card rather than one 512 MB card. There are several advantages.
