Hi..

I just got a new Canon EOS 350D and I find some shots were kind of blurred. Am not sure if it is because of the slow shutter speed(1/30, 1/15) since I have only tried the camera indoors using 800 and 1600 ISO using Programed AE mode and the Aperture mostly at 3.5, 4 and 5. Is it always the case in indoors(not so bright light)? And by the way I tried them out with no flash.

Am just wondering if you guys get good photos in indoor situations without flash and no tripod.

And has anyone got problems with their camera/lens after buying the kit? How can I check if there is a problem with my camera/lens?

Thanks.

The kit lens will most likely get you blurry and soft (two separate things) pictures indoors without flash because your shutter speed is far insufficient even at the widest end. You'll need a prime or a faster lens to handle these situations. The kit can pretty much only handle situations outdoors in good light, and even at that, you need to stop it down a little to get tack sharp results.

Get the sigma 30mm f/1.4 or cheap canon 50mm f/1.4 for ambient light exposures.
