My first camera is a C-740UZ.
My family took a trip out to Hever Castle while I was at work - so I handed the kids the C-740 to use and put everything on Auto for them.
The ASA (ISO) settings are as follows Auto, 100, 200, 400
I know other models have additionally a 64 ASA setting (C-750, 765, 770 etc)
When I checked the Exif data on the pics they took I was suprised to find a couple of 64 ASA images - further investigation found obscure numbers such as 138 ASA and 127 ASA - does anyone know - is this wrong - or does the camera have a better ASA range in Auto?

Geoff,

That's what I noticed as well with my C-5500. it has 80, 100, 200 and 400 and in auto mode, it took a shot at ISO 125. Strange, but i guess it probably has more ISO settings to select in auto mode.

I might have understood if it were only that it could make a fine choice between the usual fixed settings - but mine appears to have exceeded itself as normally the lowest is 100 ASA and it seems to have taken some at 64 ASA - if this is trully accurate it is a reason for leaving this model in Auto ASA.
