Hi there,

I'm really keen to buy the DSC-V3 - but I'm not sure if or when sony is gonna release an update. Does anyone have any idea? Or could anyone recommend an alternative?

Thanks

I would recommend looking at the Canon G6 or the Olympus C-7070 instead. This camera doesn't quite match up to those two. I have not heard of any replacements to the V3, but I have heard Sony speak of an 828 replacement coming later this year.

Any other Sony cameras going to be announced or any other brands for that matter? It is weird that only Canon is announcing cameras now.

Any Sony P250 with 8MP or something?

No indications of an update at this point. I only see the F828 being updated and even that is going to take months. And of course, Sony will probably do another design update for its T-series...
