I am just curious... out of all the people that got e18 errors, how many people were using canon brand camera case.
I read everywhere that people say that this is often caused by having dirt and sand lodged in the lense barrels. While taking my camera out of the case a few days ago, I noticed a lot of tiny, though relatively thick strands threads, on the camera body itself. I am wondering if that is a possible cause of the e18 error. To check the threads yourself, just take the case and if it is a black fuzzy cloth, just scratch it a bit on a piece of white paper and you should see some threads on the paper. My case is the psc-60 case.
Thanks
