I know I just posted this but I am out of the price range for the A95 hence me asking about the above. Which is the better camera I can get them for the same price. I know one is newer but is that necessarily better.
Thanks

It's pretty much up to you. The A510 is slightly smaller and lighter, and uses SD cards instead of CF. A75 is bigger/heftier, but then some people like that. One thing - the A510 takes rather a long time to recharge after a flash photo, so if you're going to be using flash often you might want to go with the A75.
SD vs CF is really no big deal unless you already have some cards of one type and don't want to invest in more memory. Prices, capacities, speeds aren't that much different.

For just basic snapshots and having the convenience of a lighter camera you are suggesting the 510. Does the 510 also have the video and sound ability? I am hearing about lenses freezing on the A75? Have you the same, it even happened to a friend. Was it a fluke??
Thanks

Yes, the A510 can also take videos with sound. About lens freezes, I wouldn't know .. I've never had one myself, and several of my friends have Canon cameras which are also working just great...
