Great shots. "Framers" right out of the box. Looks like you employed the fill flash on these. If not, the light was pretty much perfect.
Using the 18-70 DX?
Loverly...

That is probably the best reason I have ever heard for buying a camera. The pics are great and the kiddies are cute too. :)

Thanks for the nice remarks. George, to answer your question, I bought the D70s body only and im using my old Quanta 28-90 (42-135 for DSLR). I dont know if its a "quality" lens or not.. I only paid $150 for it at Ritz Camera, and they told me it's mid-range... I'm curious... is the 18-70 DX that much better of a lens that it would have been worth paying the extra 300$? ( D70s $899 body only....$1199 with lens).

Nope. If it works don't fix it. Down the road you might want a little more range, but your pictures are proof that an inexpensive (ok, cheap) lens can take great pictures (with the right camera and photographer).
I think a little of a parents pride show through as well. ;)
I'm a sucker for kids and dogs.
