I am thinking about buying EOS-20D. However, it's been on the market for a while. Does anyone know if there is a replacement coming out anytime soon?

It's only been out for about a year so I wouldn't expect a replacement for another six months.
Although it seems very likely that a new model (sitting between the 1-series and the 20D) will be announced next week if you're interested in something a little more upmarket.
i frequent a car discussion forum, audiworld.com, and they recently added a photography forum to the site. one of the posters there mentioned the (pending?) 5D which he thought might pull a lot of current 20D owners. here are a few words from those posters:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>12.8 mpx and Full Frame !!!!!!
only $3500 too.
I see the 5D as an 'entry level' camera in the xD lineup ... way I see it there are three lineups... xxxD (enthusiasts, 1.6x crop factor), xxD (enthusiasts with money to burn/semi pros, 1.6x crop factor), xD (enthusiasts who have way too much money, pros, full frame).
The 5D is a great answer from Canon.... full frame and at a pretty good resolution and under $4000US where a lot of people didn't think this would be possible.<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
at $3500 I don't know that it's a replacement for the 20D, but if your pockets are deep enough...

The only thing that may happen on Monday is the announcement of a new round of rebates (a bit early though), but other than that, I don't expect anything related to the 20D being announced.
