I was going to post a picture in the flower thread, but did not because it looked wrong. For some reason the colors were far less vibrant outside of Photoshop CS2 (see picture).

No matter how I tried to save the image, it came out the same way. Anyone know why?

Anyone know why?Two things that I see (although, I'm at a crappy monitor at the moment) is that the pre-CS2 image seems a little soft and also does not appear to have enough contrast. I think that the color difference is actually a contrast difference...but I could be wrong....it's just a guess...

The image on the right (orange.jpg) is what I got after saving the image in PS.
I was thinking that maybe it was the conversion from the Adobe 16-bit color space to ordinary 8-bit colors that did it.

Your guess is a good one...but I don't know CS2 well enough to give an informed opinion. Sorry...:o
I actually had a very similar, if not the same, problem.
Turning off color management in photoshop solved the problem completely.
Hope that helps :)

I'll have to give that a try tomorrow after I read the help pages regarding color management.
