Thought I'd give feedback on my recent purchase - I got the Exilim 7750, my friend got the Cannon SD400.
I have not had the lens error some people report - but I am careful not to block it when it is opening. My friend has not had the purple blob screen crack either...and that was why I steered clear of the SD series.
I like the bigger screen on the Exilim, fantastic battery life, handy dock, best shot features. The Casio is just slightly bigger than the Cannon, and the cases make them unnecessarily bulky, but I got a little screen cover for the giant Casio LCD and I carry it in a pocket of a purse without the case - something the Cannon rep said never to do with the Canon, they do not stand behind cracked screens.
The Canon color is better - Casio pics are oversaturated. That is my only complaint, and I read that you can get an upgrade of "firmware" that corrects the problem. I need to find out how to do that.
The price from Dell on the Casio is better than what I paid.
I think these cameras are very comparable.
