hey guys great site and forum. im lookin at gettin a digi camera for school and the fuji looks like a great product. best buy has the f440 for 180 this week and i found the f450 for 229 on pricegrabber. now my question is is the 1.1 mp difference between the two cameras worth 50 bucks or so? im not in photography or anything like that i just wnat something that will take shots outside and inside with good quality. ive just look online a bit and it seems like 4mp is good but 5 is great so will i really notice a difference or is that difference worth 50 bucks? what would you do!?
thanks!

You have chosen the camera type and the question is whether the extra 1.1MP is worth an extra $50?
Assuming both cameras produce the same quality photos, will you be making any large prints (even once in a while)?
Roughly a good quality 4MP photo you can make largest picture of 8"x10", and 5MP make 10"x14" without losing picture sharpness and clarity. But if you only make 6x4" prints you won't notice any difference whether you have the F440 or F450.
Even then, if budget allows and if you are going to keep the camera for a while yet, go for the F450. Only a suggestion, it's your call of course. Hope this will help.

so basically for pictures i wanna take of my friends and places i go this camera will be sufficient? I don't plan on really making anything bigger than 8x10, i just want something that i can take pics with to remember my college experience like inside the stadium. im not too worried about quality but i don't want blurry pictures either. plus this camera is 180 at bestbuy this week can't beat that!

Providing F440 is a decent camera, and I assume it is, it will be good enough for snapshots. Megapixel is only the size of the image while the quality (of the image) come with quality lens.
I had an old 2MP Sony that gave excellent photos compared to a 5.5MP Megxon I ordered online last year.
